Since there is continued increase in demand for medical marijuana in New York, the state’s Department of Health is boosting the program in response. What this means is that for those involved in the medical industry (PAs, nurse practitioners and doctors, etc.) patients can be certified in one day once they register them online. So rather than go through a whole slew of time-consuming bureaucracy, now New Yorkers will be able to get the treatment they need basically as fast as they can with other medication.
In addition, a second course on medical marijuana use has been approved by the Health Department for those who want to participate in the state program.
With over 22,000 (and rising) patients using New York State’s Medical Marijuana Program, any facilitation in it is welcomed.
